Status Credit cards end after 30 Jun 2027
Australia’s tax collector. Until 30 September 2026 it passed its bank’s card fee to payers at cost, 0.94 to 2.03 per cent on credit and international cards and nothing on debit; since 1 October it charges no card fee, and on 1 October it announced it would stop accepting credit cards after 30 November 2026, saying it would not be appropriate for the cost of credit card merchant fees to be transferred to the community; on 9 October 2026 it extended that date to 30 June 2027.
